Water Filtration

At many outreach events such as the Truckee Airport Show and STEAM Fair, Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships (SWEP) hosted booths where attendees created Native Seed Bombs filled with native seeds and learned how native vegetation helps filter out possible pollutants.

Students and their families learn about infiltration systems, stormwater runoff, and wetlands through a watershed model table at Truckee River Day Fair.
